(Continued; see 91-100)
Inspired by the fine folks @bobfreelander and @BTSjunkie (and others), I’ve put together my Top 100. This list will exhibit my extreme bias towards recent films, which is a problem I would love to remedy. Therefore, if you have an (older) “classic” in mind that possibly influenced or is somehow related to my choices, please leave a comment with your recommendation. Thank you!
90. THE HILLS HAVE EYES (2006)
Confession: I like horror movies, I don’t LOVE them. Only a few will make this list, and this remake does so on the basis of the terrifying intensity of its many standout scenes.
89. THE ROCK
I don’t feel great about including a Michael Bay movie on this list, but I can’t help myself. THE ROCK is the best example of action movie excess of the 1990s (until BAD BOYS 2 in uh..2003), and if I give it even 5 minutes of my time I can never stop watching until the end. And I do miss Sean Connery.
